These creative assets designed as social media shareables were part of a larger coordinated marketing and communications effort for a high-profile public announcement of changes to Ontario’s autism program.
This integrated social media campaign was one component in the rollout of other materials for this event and announcement. In addition to overseeing the content and creative design work for this social media marketing campaign, I also managed the development and execution of other strategic communications products, including a media advisory, news release, speaking remarks, media Q&A package, web content updates and other materials for stakeholders, service providers and MPPs.
By using cross-platform promotion and shareability, I ensured the project’s social media goals of connecting with target audiences aligned with the ministry’s overall strategy. The results included a boost in website traffic and online engagement with an increased number of people interacting with the content, sharing, commenting and creating buzz about the announcement across the public and broader autism community.
